Medu vada Recipe

Ingredients :
- Urad dal - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
- Pepper - 1 tbsp
- Green or Red chilli -3 nos
- Few curry leaves (finely chopped)
- Few coriander leaves (finely chopped)
- Water
- Oil for deep fry
- Urad dal
- Water
Steps :
- Soak the Urad dal for 1 hour.
- Strain the water and transfer the dal to a mixer jar and add little water at a time and grind it to a smooth and thick batter.
- Add 3 red chilli or green chilli ,1 tbsp of pepper,salt,and few curry leaves finely chopped mix well.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan .Wet your palms and take a lemon size batter,press it gently and make thick round shape vada.
- Then slowly slide vada in it.
- Flip and deep fry both the sides until they turn light golden brown.
- Medu vada is ready,serve with chutney or sambar.
