Ingredients :
- Fish - 1/2 kg
- Shallots - 1/4 cup
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
- Tomato - 1 (small size)
- Tamarind - small lemon size
- Jaggery - 1 small piece
- Turmeric - 1 pinch
- Rice - 1/2 tbsp
- Pepper Powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Few Coriander leaves (chopped)
- Few Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Coriander Seeds - 1 tbsp
- Chana dal - 1/4 tbsp
- Urad dal - 1/4 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Rice - 1/2 tbsp
- Shallots - 9 -10 nos
- Red Chillies - 10 nos
- Coconut - 3 tbsp
For Tempering :
- Fenugreek Seeds - 1/4 tbsp
- Heat a pan add 2 tbsp of oil.
- Add 1 tbsp of coriander Seeds,1/2 tbsp of cumin Seeds, 10 red chillies,1/4 tbsp of urad dal,1/4 tbsp of chana dal, 9-10 shallots, 3 tbsp of grated coconut and fry this for few minutes.
- Then transfer this to a mixer jar and make a smooth paste.
- In a pan add oil , add 1/4 tbsp of mustard seeds,1/4 tbsp of fenugreek seeds .
- Add 1/4 cup of shallots fry for few minutes.
- Add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste , and few curry leaves ,and some salt , add 1/2 tbsp of red chilli powder , 2 pinches of turmeric powder.
- Add tamarnid water , and then add 2 cups of water.
- Boil the tamarnid water for 10 minutes.
- Add the masala paste , add 1 cup of water, cook the masala paste till the raw smell goes on.
- Finally add the fish , add a piece of jaggery , then allow it to boil for 10 minutes.
- Finally garnish with few coriander leaves ,add 1/4 tbsp of pepper powder.
