Tomato Chutney / Tomato Onion Chutney Recipe


Tomato Chutney

 Ingredients : 
  1. Urad dal - 1 tbsp
  2. Coriander seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  3. Green chillies - 2 nos
  4. Red chillies -3 nos
  5. Tomato - 2 nos
  6. Onion - 2 nos
  7. Garlic - 4 nos
  8. Ginger 
  9. Salt
  10. Oil




                                                               Ingredients To Grind 

For Tempering :
  1. Oil - 2 tbsp
  2. Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tbsp
  3. Urad dal - 1/2 tbsp
  4. Chana dal - 1/4 tbsp
  5. Curry leaves

Steps:
  1. Heat the oil in a pan. Add garlic, 2 green chillies,then 1 tbsp of urad dal,1/2 tbsp of coriander seeds, fry for 5 seconds.
  2. Then add chopped onion and fry till slight brown.
  3. Then add Tomato and ginger,and some salt fry for 5 minutes turn off the stove and let it cool.
  4. Grind it to a fine paste(do not add water).
  5. Now in the same pan, add 2 tbsp of oil, add 1/4 tbsp of Mustard seeds,!/2 tbsp urad dal,1/4 tbsp chana dal, few curry leaves.
  6. Turn off the flame and this to the grounded chutney.
